Hello! My name is Allison, and I am a licensed professional counselor Supervisor in Texas with over 10 years of experience working as a counselor in various settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, family conflicts, self-harm, career challenges and personality awareness for individuals and couples. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I also believe the relationship between the client and counselor is vital. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, person-centered, solution focused and EMDR. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. Vulnerability, authenticity and being open to change are vital for the healing process. We will work together to set goals, create safe spaces to sit with your emotions and find solutions together to difficult situations. She enjoys working with clients with a variety of concerns including general anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and relationship issues. She is passionate about helping clients to process past trauma, and have experience working with survivors of domestic violence helping clients to process trauma and increase coping skills and self-esteem. Her clinical training is focused on a humanistic approach, and she is trained in and incorporate EMDR therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Allison Cornell, LPC-S.
